Rechtsanwalt (Attorney-at-law)

Law studies at the University of Hamburg. With SNB since 1981.

Axel Neelmeier works in the Corporate and China Desk Hamburg practices. He advises companies on national and international corporate and real estate transactions. Many companies from the People’s Republic of China are included amongst his clients.

Together with Dr. h.c. Peter Schulz Axel Neelmeier established the China business of the law firm. Many activities and memberships in China-oriented associations are based on his decades of activities in this field. They stretch beyond the professional field, in particular as far as the promotion of encounters between German and Chinese pupils and students is concerned.

Moreover, Axel Neelmeier is active in national and international arbitration procedures as an arbitrator (also as president) as well as in his capacity as party representative.

He is one of a few German arbitrators of the CIETAC – China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (Beijing) and the SHIAC – Shanghai International Arbitration Center. In addition, he is a member of the Advisory Board of the Beijing-Hamburg Conciliation Centre, Hamburg.

Axel Neelmeier works on an honorary basis as judge at the Hamburg Lawyers Court.
